Jay Stevenson is the 13 year old Owner of Jay’s Got Flavor. Jay is currently a 7th Grader in Prince William County School system. Jay’s Got Flavor was created in August 2020 during the pandemic Covid-19 when Jay had to stop playing football for the Manassas Warriors due to Covid-19 making Jay more susceptible to catch it due to his asthm

Pastor Bush, Jay’s Grandmother had been medically advised to reduce her sugar intake which didn’t leave her many cake choices. Jay wanfed to create a cake his Grandmother Pastor Bush could eat and everyone else as well.
Jay created his first specialty Chocolate Chip Pound Cake. Samples were given out to friends, family, and neighbors for their feedback. Everyone agreed the cake was moist and delicious. This was the start of what is now known as "Jay’s Got Flavor”! With over 21,000 followers on Facebook alone from around the world. Jay continually grows his business at his own pace.
At age 7 years old Jay became the Owner of his own business & he also founded an Outreach called Operation Appalachian Mountain Outreach.
As founder Jay partnered with Dr. Irwin of Manassas who gave free medical care to families in the Appalachian Mountains. Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee and Lower Grundy Virginia area. Jay collected monetary donations and other supplies for desolate families in need. In 2020 - 2021 Jay collected 89 Truckloads of donations and they were packed up in trailers and taken to the families in need. In 2021 Jay was nominated by a Facebook Jay’s Got Flavor Family Follower and received a "Congratulatory Letter” from Senator Mark Warner for his efforts and outreach in the community. In 2021 at the age of 8 years old. Jay was featured in his first magazine article and his first recipe was published. Jay has collected over 400 Truckloads of donations for his outreach so far.
In 2022 at age 8 years old. Jay was contacted by producers of The Food Network Kids Baking Championship Tv Show. Jay tried out and performed his best and it became a great esson learned. Jay made it to the final round in the TV Show Auditions but was beat out for he tv spot by 1 other kid contestant. The TV Producers did share that Jay was the youngest contestant to ever be asked to try out for the Food Network Kids Baking Tv Show. In 2024 at age 11, Jay was contacted again by the producers of Food Network Kids Baking Championship Tv Show asking him to try out again for the tv show. Jay was also contacted y producers for the Master Chef Junior Tv Show also, however Jay declined both tv shows invitations. Jay has also achieved many untold accomplishments from age 7-13. Currently Jay as created over 107 flavors of Pound Cakes on his menu and is working on more. November 2025 Jay was honored to have his first NFL Celebrity Washington Commander Quarterback Jayden Daniels enjoy his delicious Banana Pudding Pound Cake and loved it.
Jay has been bullied from Preschool to presently and was diagnosed in November 2025 with ADHD, Autism Characteristics and Learning Disabilities. Despite those challenges Jay continues to thrive building his business and encourages others "Don’t let nothing or nobody stop you. Follow your dreams no matter what”
